Happy Halloween!

Boo!  I started celebrating Halloween about a week ago at a pumpkin carving party.  Here is me and my gremlin pumpkin.

Next had to get ready for my work's chili cook-off with costume competition.  I finished up my costume as a fire alarm by wearing yellow socks, orange leggings and red shorts so my legs would be on "fire."  I didn't win, a couple dressed up as Adam and Eve, and I just couldn't compete.

However, my chili is a different story.  I made a veggie chili with a corn bread top.  I put a stencil of the capsaicin molecule, the "heat" in the chili pepper.  I used a stencil that I traced and, of course, used chili pepper for the effect.  I loved it and I guess the judges did too because I won for best alternative chili.

I didn't get any good pictures of me and the trophy but here is a close-up of it.  This is the Bauer Award, named for the guy who made the trophy and it will sit on my desk until next year.  Then I will have to defend my title.  Any ideas?
